Schmersal for the first time as app

The application finder "Aufzugstechnik” from Schmersal Böhnke & Partner permits designers to select control components and switchgear quickly on the basis of an animated lift shaft. This practical assistant can now be downloaded as an app for iPads at the Apple Store and for Android tablets from the Google PlayStore.

The application finder shows designers what sensors, position switches, door latches and door contacts are best suited for particular applications. But complex systems, such as the ultrasound positioning system USB or the new lift control system bp408, are described in detail too.

All product information available

The different product groups are presented interactively in the main menu of the application finder. Each product group has an application-specific animation. The main technical features of the product groups, such as door latches, lift controls, etc. are presented on the succeeding navigation levels.

Depending on the complexity of the product or application, additional video animations are available. Thus in the new bp408 control system the mode of operation of the WinMOS 300 app is shown, with whose assistance the lift can be controlled via mobile terminals in maintenance mode.

Direct access to the online catalogue provides interested parties with detailed technical data, operating instructions and downloadable CAD models. As a result all product information is available immediately with just a few clicks.
