Hydraulic lifts: In the lead in endurance test
When New Lift predicted the comeback of hydraulic lifts, few people took the control manufacturer seriously. But now it is clear that modernising tried-and-tested technology has many advantages.
The new Operating Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV), which has been in force since 1 June 2015, poses high demands on lift operators. This is not something one should not take lightly, because in the worst case six-figure fines can be imposed, advices the office Hundt Consult.
Employers or operators of lifts have been obliged since the introduction of the new Operational Safety Ordinance to draw up an emergency plan for all lifts, which must be provided to the emergency service responsible or hung up at the lift. The transitional period will now end on 31 May.
