Schwelm Symposium: The tradition of innovations

The range of topics at this year's Schwelm Symposium ranged from extraordinary escalators to the safety of attachments.

The discussions after the talks and in the numerous breaks were as lively as ever. The data glasses Hololens, which the speaker from thyssenkrupp elevator, Sascha Frömming, had brought along so that the conference participants could experience a virtual maintenance situation, were particularly popular.

Next Schwelm Symposium on 11th and 12th of June 2018

HandwerkHorst Schickor from Niggemeier & Leurs GmbH took first place in the competition for the talk most appreciated by the audience with his contribution “We have to talk about this.” Tim Ebeling from Henning came in second with what he had to say about “Minimising rope wear through automatic tension equilibration for new construction and modernisation.”

Jan König from VFA Interlift was third with his talk on the state of European and national standardisation. The next Schwelm Symposium will once again take place on 11th and 12th of June 2018 in the Vesper golf hotel.
