Local manufacturing units to source raw materials

Elevator demand is set to cross 75,000 units by 2020 with India retaining second place in the global market. Urbanization, real estate reforms, affordable housing, infrastructure projects and high-rise buildings are the key growth triggers. To tap this lucrative market, elevator manufacturers must introduce country-specific affordable models to meet the demand of price-sensitive segments.

HandwerkThis is achievable by setting up local manufacturing units to source raw materials and labor at competitive prices. With 3% growth in urban population YOY, Indian urban landscape will change at a faster pace than ever.

Also the buildings built during 1971-2000 urbanization will have to give way to new rules due to paucity of land in urban pockets."All in all it is good news for Vertical Transportation industry", say the organizers of the Asia Elevator Escalator Expo.
