Bosses train DB technicians personally

News

To ensure that customers on the spot are also well prepared for escalators breaking down, the bosses of Weber Tec, Mike and Wolfgang Weber, personally trained four technicians of Deutsche Bahn.

The training occurred on the spot in Berlin in dealing with Filler 2 of Weber Tec. The Hamburg based company not only provides a repair service, but also functional products and solutions for repairing escalator steps and moving walk pallets on the German and international market.

Repair of defective ribs on the spot

On the first day of the training, the DB employees in Berlin were instructed on how to use EsCare. The first step was watching and discussing a training film before continuing with practical exercises in the workshop.

EsCare makes it possible to repair defective ribs on escalator steps on the spot without demounting or long downtimes. The repaired spots should be scarcely noticeable thanks to the new filling material, "Filler 2" that blends in even better due to its grey colour.

The second day of the course took part in the heart of Berlin, where the DB technicians were able to apply the skills they had previously learned under the professional guidance of the Weber Tec bosses. Deutsche Bahn Services has purchased a four-year licence from Weber Tec for its North-East Region and with this step received the training and technical equipment to be able in future to recondition its escalator steps on its own.
