Elevcon: Presentations, workshops and networking

The 23rd International Congress on Vertical Transportation Technologies (Elevcon) will take place from June 16th to 18th 2020.

The organizer promises three days of "outstanding presentations, networking and social activities". Elevcon takes place biennially in different locations; Paris in 2014, Madrid in 2016, and Berlin in 2018.

The upcoming Elevcon will be held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic at the newly designed Grandior Hotel Prague, situated in the city center. The organizer, the International Association of Elevator Engineers (IAEE), promises three days of "outstanding presentations, networking and social activities".

The Elevcon Scientific Committee plans a programme of presentations and workshops offered by international experts and covering all major aspects of vertical transportation.

P. So, Hong Kong, Scientific Advisor, IAEE, Joseph Stier, Belgium, IAEE Administrative Board Chairman and Mr. Sefa Targit, Turkey, President of AYSAD.

Participants in Elevcon 2020 will be introduced to top professionals in the vertical transportation industry and offered networking opportunities with colleagues from all over the world. Speakers' papers will be compiled and published in book of proceedings Elevator Technology 23, Elevcon 2020, which will be offered at the congress.

Among the topics that will be presented are:
• Future of elevator emergency communication after traditional fixed lines, 2G and 3G networks sunset,
• Lightweight Elevator Cabins,
• New Technologies in Lifts – IoT, BigData, Artificial Intelligence. Standardization Perspectives.
Handwerk• Brain-Controlled Elevators,
• Elevator 4.0 (IoE-Internet of Elevator).

Parallel to the congress, Elevcon 2020 also includes a three-day trade show. Participating companies can showcase their recent equipment, technologies and innovations.

Social events include a welcome reception and a city tour of Prague followed by a dinner at a typical Czech restaurant.
